Owen McGrann | Founder & Resident Troublemaker

George McGrann | Counsel
George has seen some things in his 40+ years of practicing law. He’s McGrannLAW’s resident Wise Old Man, your lovable local curmudgeon who spits truth. George is a veritable font of institutional knowledge and insight not only into legal issues, but, having advised businesses ranging from promising start-ups to the most sophisticated Fortune 100 companies, into the knottiest business issues.
Litigating matters from Pittsburgh, to New York, Texas, California, London, and back, George has provided the highest level of representation to his clients on matters ranging into the hundreds of millions of dollars. George is one of the leading appellate, business, and complex commercial litigation attorneys in Pittsburgh and brings this experience to bear for his clients at McGrannLAW.
Previously the managing partner of the Pittsburgh office of a national law firm, George has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America and has been honored by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer®.

Winnie McGrann | Chief Morale Officer
Winnie has been with the firm from the very beginning, when Owen gave his wife, Audra, a heart attack by walking away from a steady job and began practicing law out of a spare bedroom. Thanks to Winnie’s steadfast support and clockwork reminders that she needs food in her mouth, McGrannLAW has grown like Winnie’s appetite after she began taking prednisone every morning. A most valuable member of the team, Winnie chairs the firm’s greeting committee (and appreciates her new corner office at McGrannLAW HQ).
Education
Misty Pines, Puppy Training 2013 graduate
Certified Pizza Thief

Clare McGrann | VP of Mess Development
Clare joined McGrannLAW in October of 2021 and quickly made her presence felt. A true agent of entropy, Clare has cemented McGrannLAW’s dedication to a paperless office and has spurred the firm to new and creative gatekeeping structures. After a rocky start, Clare and Winnie have developed a strong working relationship. We’re excited to have Clare on the team.
